Chisinau, 21 June /MOLDPRES/- The law on ratification of the Amendment no1 to the Loan Framework Agreement between Moldova and the Council of Europe Development Bank, which will allow the internally displaced people from the left bank of the Dniestre who have received social housing to privatize them, will be published in the Official Journal of Moldova on 22 June.
The Amendment no1 will allow the privatization of the dwellings built under this Loan Agreement, before full repayment of the credit by veterans and people with disabilities and internally displaced persons from the eastern districts of Moldova who have suffered as a result of fighting for the defense of the independence and territorial integrity of Moldova.
At present, Annex no1 of the agreement states that the privatization of the dwellings from the buildings built on it will be possible after full repayment of the credit, ie early in 2027. At the same time, according to the law on housing, people living in privatized housing have the right to privatize them until 31 May 2021.
The Framework Agreement provides for the Council of Europe Development Bank to grant the repayable loan of 4,900,000 euros to the Moldovan government to build housing for socially vulnerable people. The Chisinau Municipal Council in 2008 hired a loan, recredited by the Ministry of Finance, which has to refund 3235560 euros for a period of 20 years, including the five-year grace period, of which two buildings were built in the capital - on the streets of Milescu Spataru 21/5 and Liviu Deleanu 9/2.
