Chisinau, 21 June /MOLDPRES/ - The Economics and Infrastructure Ministry today officially launched the information portal www.drumuribune.md, where the map, “Drumuri bune pentru Moldova” (Good Roads for Moldova) will be published. Thus, each citizen will have possibility to see the stage of repair of roads in his/her settlement.
„This is a challenge for us, those from the ministry, as well as for the companies which won the tenders and work in areas within this project. This is a challenge, as, first of all, we have to carry out works with a much wider coverage than the roads within the competence of the State Roads’ Administration so far, given that we have many small projects on all the territory of the country, which are implemented concomitantly,” Economics and Infrastructure Minister Chiril Gaburici said.
The minister noted that, in 2018, a record volume of roads’ repair is to be carried out. The goal of the launch of the aforementioned information portal is to ensure a better transparency. “So that each of us has access to the information on what is happening within this project,” Chiril Gaburici said.
The information on each project, settlement in which it is carried out, length of the road, stage of implementation will be placed on the site. The information will be updated five times per day, to learn the current situation.
„The quality is foremost for us. We do not want to make roads for one or two years, but for many years from now on. We want citizens to be part of this process and, at the same time, a permanent control on the march of works to be set,” Minister Gaburici said.
The Good Roads for Moldova programme sees the rehabilitation of about 1,200 km of roads, due to cover almost 1,200 settlements. The overall sum of investments will be of 1.6 billion lei.
