Chisinau, 21 June /MOLDPRES/ – The handling of files and court applications could only be done through Programme of integrated case management (PIGD). The Parliament has adopted a law bill in its first reading on it today.
According to project, the PIGD will be unique to all courts and is part of the Judicial information system (SIJ). Its use will be compulsory for all courts, and the programme manager will be the Court administration agency (AAIJ).
Another project provision concerns the activity of the Judicial inspection (IJ), being an independent specialised body of the Superior Council of Magistracy (CSM). It will consist of seven inspectors – judges, which will have functional autonomy. The term of office of inspector – judge is proposed to be 6 years. The candidate for this position must not have served as a judge within recent three years.
It is also proposed that members of CSM should not be elected for two consecutive terms. Also, the CSM will organise competition for vacant positions of judge, two times per year.
The draft must be voted in final reading as to become a law.
