Over 300 young Moldovans take military oath

Chisinau, 22 June /MOLDPRES/ - Over 300 soldiers today took the military oath in the presence of National Army officers, parents and relatives.
According to data by the Defence Ministry, Commander of the National Army Igor Cutie congratulated the young people and urged them to be responsible and devoted.
„I expect you, at the end of the compulsory military service, to join the professional army – an army which we would like to be operable and modern, an army Moldova deserves. We, those who currently represent the officers of the defence institution, will take care to create conditions for training and work, adjusted to the international standards,” Cutie said.
Also today, another 86 young people of the surface-to-air missiles took the oath in the military town of Danceni.
After taking military oath, the soldiers will benefit from four days of leave; afterwards, they will be distributed to National Army’s units. The compulsory military service lasts 12 months.
