Premier visits factory of wiring with over 800 employees from north-west Moldova town

Chisinau, 22 June /MOLDPRES/ – Prime Minister, Pavel Filip, has visited today the Sammy Cablaggi factory in Falesti district, specialised in production of electric wiring for cars. The company has been active in Moldova since 2007, an Italian investment of €2 million.

According to the government’s communication and protocol department, the company employs over 800 employees. The turnover is almost €2.5 million. More than 450 models of headlamp wiring, air conditioning and car seats are produced on an area of ​​over 5,000 m3.

The Prime Minister visited production hall and talked to factory employees about working conditions and pay levels. The workers said the salary was recently upgraded and were pleased with the facilities offered by employer – company provides transport to the workplace, and commencing 01 July 2018, it will also offer meal vouchers. Currently, employees work in a single shift, but in the future they will work in two shifts.

Also, Sammy Cablaggi intends a substantial expansion over upcoming three years – doubling production facilities and staff numbers, including gaining status as a Free Economic Zone (ZEL). As a result of production capacity development, it will be made investments of €5 million, of which over two million euros for modern equipment.

At the international level, the company is part of the Italian group Kablem, a leading automotive cable manufacturer, with about 40 years of experience in domain. The company delivers products of well-known names in the automotive industry and has factories in Italy, Romania, Moldova and Tunisia with a total of over 3,000 employees.
