Moldovan capital's municipal services mobilized over warnings of sharp weather change

Chisinau, 22 June /MOLDPRES/ - The municipal services today were mobilized in the context of warnings of sharp weather change.

The authorities of the Chisinau city hall urge citizens and enterprises from the capital to take caution measures, in order to protect people and material assets.

People are urged to avoid seeking shelters against rain under trees, electricity lines and light constructions in terms of safety. Also, drivers are warned not to park their cars under trees and in low places, where big water accumulations may appear.

According to the local authorities, all municipal services are prepared with mobile teams, being ready to intervene in emergency situations.

If problematic situations are recorded in the context of the weather conditions, citizens are urged to call the Central Municipal Control Room at the phones: (022) 22-22-67 and (022) 22-26-04.

The State Hydrometeorological Service informed about a sharp weather change on the period 22 June, 17:00 – 23 June 06:00. Meteorologists forecast heavy thunderstorm rainfall and wind gusting.
