Court of Accounts found irregularities in management of financial statements on budget process in Balti

Chisinau, 26 June /MOLDPRES/- The Court of Accounts found irregularities in the management of the financial statements related to the budget process and public asset management of local public authorities in Balti municipality for 2017. These were identified after the members of the Court examined an audit report.

Following the audit, the court of accounts has found distortions in the balance sheet amounting to over 110 million lei and in the report on revenues and expenses worth 22 million lei.

Specifically, among the irregularities detected by the Court there is a decrease in the value of the public property land by about 16.6 million lei, irregular increase in the value of transactions for the capital repair works, the increase in the value of the expenditures related to the granted subsidies, the decrease in the revenues and receivables from rent of public assets, increase in expenses on current repairs.

The budget of the territorial administrative unit in Balti was formed in 2017 from special transfers - 298.7 million lei (64.4%), own incomes - 146.24 million lei or (31.5%), other incomes – 18.8 million lei (4.1%).
