Chisinau, 28 June /MOLDPRES/ – In Bender city, under chairmanship of Co-President of Russian delegation, Ilia Uvarov, gathered the Joint Control Commission (CUC) today. According to agenda, CUC examined an organisational issue, in which the Commission appointed major Pavel Kolecenkov as military observer o behalf of Russia, the office for reintegration policy’s information and media communication service has reported.
Due to the fact that the Joint Military Command (CMI) was unable to present weekly reports on the situation in the Security Zone (ZS) on 13 – 19 June and 20 – 26 June 2018, which includes the recent unauthorised displacements of military personnel in ZS, and because no consensus was found between senior military commanders from Russia, Ukraine, Moldova and the Transnistrian region for their signing, the chief of Russian delegation to CUC, Ilia Uvarov proposed to examine the above mentioned reports at the next meeting. This proposal was unanimously accepted by all CUC components.
Regarding actions of CUC and CMI on reopening of bridge of Gura Bacului and Bacioc villages on 18 November 2017, the Russian delegation presented its views to Commission, which, following the preliminary examination by delegations, representatives of Ukraine and the OSCE Mission to Moldova agreed on further consultations, the discussions to continue at CUC meeting to be held on 05 July 2018.
The Moldovan delegation to CUC disseminated an appeal to all the JCC counterparts, exposing its concern about the use of firearms by the Transnistrian structures in ZS.
