Advancement in Trafficking in Persons Report as performance, appreciation of national authorities' efforts - Moldovan foreign minister says

Chisinau, 29 June /MOLDPRES/- Foreign and European Integration Minister Tudor Ulianovschi, head of the national committee for combating trafficking in persons, describes Moldova’s advancement in the Trafficking in Persons Report –US Department of State from Tier 2 Watch List to Tier 2 as a performance and appreciation of the efforts of national authorities in this area.
According to the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s press service, the report for Moldova was made public yesterday and includes an analysis of the measures implemented by the government of the Republic of Moldova to prevent and combat trafficking in human beings. The report also includes a list of recommendations, namely 8 priority actions that need to be carried out in 2018-2019 to continue positive dynamics on that dimension.
According to Ulianovschi, in the near future, the national committee for combating trafficking in persons will analyze the Report, including the issues, and will ensure the integration of the recommendations in the Action Plan for the implementation of the new National Strategy for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings.
