Work of innovation incubators to be regulated by new law in Moldova

Chisinau, 29 June /MOLDPRES/ - The work of scientific and technological parks and innovation incubators from Moldova will be regulated by a new law. The government approved a draft law to this end today.
Under the document, the scientific and technological parks, as well as the innovation incubators will be set up under cabinet decisions, based on documents submitted by founders.
The draft also sees that the scheduled term of work of the parks and incubators cannot be shorter than ten years, unlike the old law, which established that the period of work of the scientific and technological park cannot exceed 25 years and of the innovation incubator – 15 years.
The creation and development of the parks’ infrastructure will be financed from the fund for their development. The concerned fund will be made up budgetary and private sources, from sources earmarked by the members of the cluster and founders, from sources allocated by residents following the launch of the mass production and services, accounting from 1 to 3 per cent of the income got as a result of the innovational production sold.
The draft is to be submitted to parliament for consideration and will enter into force nine months upon the date of publication.
