Relatives of post-humously awarded persons to get state allowances in Moldova

Chisinau, 29 June /MOLDPRES/ – The families of persons decorated post – mortem with "Order of the Republic" or order "Stefan cel Mare" will receive state allowances. The decision was approved at the meeting of Government today.

The amount of state allowances is MDL 500 per month. The Minister of Healthcare, Labour and Social Protection, Svetlana Cebotari, said at the Cabinet meeting that if all potential beneficiaries of the target category would apply for allowances, then, for their payment, it was needed monthly the sum of around MDL 100,000.

In the state budget for 2018, there is planned the amount of MDL 20 million for payment of state allowances for special merits.

According to document, there were decorated post-mortem 234 persons with "Order of the Republic" or order "Stefan cel Mare".

The decision approved by government will come into force on 01 July 2018.
