Chisinau, 29 June /MOLDPRES/ - The holders of licences for the import and wholesale selling of oil products might carry out operations of re-sale of oil products. The subject was considered at a today’s cabinet meeting.
Economics and Infrastructure Minister Chiril Gaburici has said that earlier, the wholesale selling of oil products had been allowed only to importers.
Gaburici stressed that the national legislation does not regulate the formation of prices of wholesale re-selling of oil products and the existence of the obstacle to their wholesale re-selling is not beneficial and creates unjustified impediments to carrying out the work in this sector of the economy.
„After the regulation and capping by the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) of the panel selling retail prices, the restriction of re-sale is no longer topical. As a result of the changes made, the operators on the oil products market, who hold licences for the import and wholesale selling of oil products, will be allowed to carry out re-sale operations. Thus, balance will be ensured between the regulation of retail sale of oil products and maintaining a proper degree of freedom on the market of wholesale selling of oil products,” Chiril Gaburici added.
