Moldova, Romania set to improve air traffic safety

Chisinau, 29 June /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova will cooperate with Romania to improve the standards of safety and quality of the air traffic. The subject was discussed at a meeting with the participation of representatives of the Romatsa Romanian Air Traffic Services Administration and the state enterprise for the use of the air space and management of the air traffic, Moldatsa.
The meeting took place in the context when the two institutions are to sign a cooperation protocol. According to a press release by the Economics and Infrastructure Ministry, the signing of the protocol will contribute to the fulfillment of the duties in the sector of air traffic management, contained in the Agreement on common aviation area between the European Union and its member states and Moldova.
Under the document, the sides will cooperate to extend the Single European Sky in Moldova, in order to improve the present safety standards, to optimize the capacities of control of the air traffic and reduce the delays to the minimum.
