Service 112 to interact more efficiently with specialised emergency assistance services in Moldova

Chisinau, 29 June /MOLDPRES/ – The Government has approved today the Interaction Rules between the National Emergency Service 112 and the Emergency Services as to ensure immediate intervention of rescuers, doctors or police officers to provide the necessary assistance, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
The Regulation provides for a clear delimitation of duties of Service 112 and Emergency Specialist Services – the Emergency Medical Service (SAMU), General Police Inspectorate (IGP) and General Emergency Inspectorate (IGSU). The essential competencies of Service 112 include receiving, managing and processing emergency calls throughout Moldova, completing emergency call records and centralising, storing and accessing managed data under Automated Information System (SIAS) 112.
The document establishes concrete actions in the process of receiving emergency calls by Service 112 and sending the call records to specialised services as well as taking files by specialised services with subsequent organisation of interventions. The Regulation also provides for measures to ensure confidentiality of personal data of the caller.
112 is the single emergency call, active in all EU Member States. It operates on a non-stop basis and can be called free of charge by every citizen on fixed and mobile phones. Commencing 01 July 2018, all calls to 901, 902, and 903 will be redirected to 112.
