Chisinau, 30 June /MOLDPRES/ - The movement has been temporarily suspended at the wharf-type customs office from the Cosauti village, northern Soroca district. The Moldovan Customs Service made statements to this effect today.
According to the institution, the suspension of movement is triggered by the increase in the level of Dniester river.
At the same time, the Customs Service recommends that people who planned to cross the border through this customs office opt for the customs office Soroca (wharf-type) and the road one, Otaci, placed nearby.
The water level increased in the Dniester river in the wake of the heavy rains from the last days, as a result of an Yellow Code of atmospheric instability announced by the State Hydrometeorological Service. According to meteorologists, thunderstorm rains, temporarily heavy ones (15-25 litres/square metre in 12 hours and less), with hail and wind gusting up to 15-20 metres/second are expected on 28-30 June.
