New meeting of political representatives in negotiations process for Transnistrian settlement held in Tiraspol

Chisinau, 03 July /MOLDPRES/ – A new working session of political representatives within process of negotiations for the Transnistrian settlement of Chisinau and Tiraspol, Cristina Lesnic and Vitali Ignatiev, with participation of representatives of mediators and observers in the 5+2 negotiation format, took place on Monday, 02 July, in headquarters of the OSCE Mission in Tiraspol, the office for reintegration policy’s information and media communication service has reported.
During the meeting, there were approached recent developments on most current topics on agenda of negotiation process, mentioning continuous and resonant dynamics within Chisinau – Tiraspol dialogue platforms.
Among the topics discussed, there were existing situation in the field of telecommunications, on which it was signed on 28 June 2018, by working groups coordinators, Roadmap "On implementation of provisions of the Protocol Decision "On Organisation of interaction in telecommunications" from 25 November 2017, in accordance with provisions of the Protocol to the official meeting of the "Permanent conference on political issues in the Transnistrian settlement process" held in Rome, Italy, on 29 – 30 May 2018.
In the dialogue context, parties also approached subjects related to technical and material endowment of registration of means of transport in Ribnita and Tiraspol and organisation of training courses for staff which would work on those points.
Also, the discussions focused on potential mechanisms of importing medicines in the Transnistrian region and acquisition of medical preparations for persons suffering from HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis.
The Moldovan side informed about initiation of public consultation procedure and promotion of the draft Government Amendment №1164 of 22 October 2016 "On the National Programme for Prevention and Control of HIV/AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Infections for 2016 – 2020" in order to provide necessary assistance to inhabitants of the Transnistrian region.
Among subjects under discussion can be also highlighted coordination of procedure for claiming agricultural land located along road Rabnita – Tiraspol and work of human rights working groups.
The political representatives agreed on need to continue dialogue on issues raised, with forthcoming organisation of working groups meetings in related fields.
At the meeting end, political representatives held a press briefing and answered questions directed by mass media.
