Streets to be restored in four settlements from Moldovan eastern district, within Good Roads for Moldova project

Chisinau, 3 July /MOLDPRES/ - Another four settlements from the eastern Dubasari district will benefit from works of streets’ restoration within the Good Roads for Moldova project. The works will be ended till late July. Economics and Infrastructure Minister Chiril Gaburici today paid a working visit to the Dubasari district, to check how the repair works are carried out.    

Those four settlements are Parata, Cosnita, Molovata Noua and Oxentea. Eleven villages from the Dubasari district have been included in the Good Roads for Moldova project in all.

According to a press release by the Economics and Infrastructure Ministry, 3.2 million lei will be needed to repair a street in the Parata settlement with a length of 1.1 km. As much as 2.9 million lei has been earmarked for the restoration of a 1.3-km-long road segment in the Cosnita village. The works of modernizing the roadway with road metal and asphalt, with a length of 1 km, in the Molovata Noua village costs about 2.8 million lei. As much as 1.5 million lei is necessary for the repair of the 1-km-long road in Oxentea.       

Chiril Gaburici warned about the qualitative and sustainable carrying out of the works of modernization of the roadway with road metal and asphalt.   

The Good Roads for Moldova project provides for the restoration of about 1,200 km of roads from 1,200 settlements. The overall sum of investments will be of about 1.6 billion lei. The money will be allocated from the road fund and the state budget.
