Political repressions' victims to benefit from priority social facilities in Moldova

Chisinau, 4 July /MOLDPRES/ - The victims of political repressions will benefit from a set of priority medical services and of increasing the monthly state allocation by 400 lei. These measures of ensuring the social protection of the people who had suffered in the wake of political repressions were approved by the government today.   

Thus, the victims will be provided with a set of priority medical services based on a single programme of mandatory health insurances. The set includes the carrying out of the yearly prophylactic medical examination at the family physician, including the laboratory and instrumental investigations, as well as the carrying out of the annual rehabilitation treatment at the Hospital of the Curative, Sanatorium and Rehabilitation Association of the State Chancellery, the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry has reported.    

The package of medical services proposed will contribute to a continuous monitoring of the health condition of the political repressions’ victims and early detection of diseases triggered by risk factors to which they were subjected during the life.  

At the same time, the victims of political repressions will enjoy a 50-per cent cut in the cost of the ticket for rehabilitation, against 30 per cent so far. Thus, the cut will be of 3,250 lei of the ticket’s price, against the previous reduction of 1,950 lei.  

Also, the cabinet approved the increase in the quantum of state allocation for this category of persons by 400 lei, amounting to 500 lei per month. A number of 8,452 people will benefit from the increased allowance.  

All these measures will be enforced as of 1 September 2018.

The victims of political repressions benefit from annual material assistance, standing at 1,000 lei for each victim in 2018.
