Moldovan cabinet organises more events on commemoration day of victims of Stalinist deportations

Chisinau, 05 July /MOLDPRES/ – The victims of Stalinist deportations will be commemorated on 06 July, the day of national mourning. In all localities in Moldova the state flags will be lowered, and a minute of silence will be held at 10:00, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
The programme of events organised by government on this occasion will include more events.
Thus, at 08:00, the state flag will be downgraded in front of the Government in the presence of Prime Minister Pavel Filip and Cabinet Ministers (Government House, Central Entry).
At 9:45, Prime Minister Pavel Filip will attend the ceremony of commemorating the victims of Stalinist deportations. During the event, at 10:00, a minute of silence will be held and there will be read the names of persons which suffered from political repressions (Government House, Central Entry) will be read.
At 11:00, a memorial table will be held on victims of Stalinist deportations (the Palace of the Republic).
The government has offered recently more facilities to persons which had suffered from political repression in order to increase their level of social protection, including by offering medical treatment and recovery services: the monthly allowance has increased from MDL 100 to MDL 500; material aid increased from MDL 700 to MDL 1,000; 50 per cent discounts instead of 30 per cent for purchasing sanatorium tickets; free prophylactic medical examinations; rehabilitation treatment at the Government hospital and new type ID cards.
