Moldovan PM has meeting with IMF Executive Director

Chisinau, 05 July /MOLDPRES/ – "It is a pleasure to come to Moldova. The discussions with authorities in Chisinau are easy because there have been made many efforts to implement the programme with IMF," has said IMF Managing Director, Anthony De Lannoy, during the meeting with PM Pavel Filip, today.
According to the government's communication and protocol department, the Premier expressed gratitude towards IMF for allocation of the third tranche of funding worth $33.75 million. "Apart from financial aspect, there are our vital attitude and relationship with IMF," said Pavel Filip.
The Head of Executive said that due to programme IMF, there were re-launched relations with external partners and it was implemented a broad agenda of reforms. "Thanks to efforts, Moldova is on the way to build a healthy banking system, with European investors, Banca Transilvania (BT) and consortium by participation of European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD)", outlined Mr. Filip. Also, there have been made significant reforms within social, justice, business and public administration fields. Although desired results have not yet been achieved in all areas, there is all determination to bring about the changes which began.
The PM emphasised that Moldova has been giving priority to programme with IMF and would continue to focus on its achievement. "We have the desire and capacities needed to implement reform agenda. We have demonstrated this through recorded economic growth, creating new jobs and launching social programmes such as "Prima Casa" (First home 1), "Prima Casa 2" (First home 2), meal vouchers or "Drumuri bune pentru Moldova" (Good roads for Moldova)," specified Pavel Filip.
Anthony De Lannoy thanked the authorities of Moldova for their good cooperation, encouraging them to continue the reforms. The official noted that IMF is an economic and not a political body and appreciates Moldova after recorded results.
