Moldovan 2018 state social insurances budget's revenues, expenses increase

Chisinau, 05 July /MOLDPRES/ – The promulgation decree, as well as law amending State Social Insurance Budget Act 2018, will be published in Official Journal on 06 July.

As a result of changes, revenues and expenditures of state social insurance budget for 2018 will be increased by MDL 26.5 million.

The total revenues and expenditures of state social security budget for 2018 will amount to MDL 19,339 million. The expenditures for social benefits will be increased by MDL 26.2 million up to MDL 18,979.5 million. The expenditures for activities funded from general resources of BASS will increase by MDL 81 million, up to MDL 14,024.7 million. The expenditures for activities financed from transfers from state budget will decrease by MDL 54.5 million.

For social protection of elderly persons, the expenses will increase by MDL 60 million. It will include the increase in costs on increase in average pension amount, two steps of revaluation of pension in 2018, and the 0.1 percentage point increase in pension indexation coefficient compared to approved one.

Related to social protection of disabled persons, the expenditures will increase by MDL 17.9 million, the estimated number of beneficiaries being 129 thousand ones.
