Law on mandataroty health insurances funds for 2018 amended in Moldova

Chisinau, 5 July /MOLDPRES/ - The decree on the promulgation, as well as the law on the amendment of the Law on mandatory health insurances funds for 2018 will be published in the 6 July issue of the Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial).

Following the amendments made at an initiative by the authorities, the revenues and spending will increase by 74,300 thousand lei. The increase was provided from the growth of collections from the insurance premiums in percentage form – 54,000 thousand lei and in fixed form – 12,631.6 thousand lei, as well as from other incomes – 14,000 thousand lei.

As much as 64,300 thousand lei will be directed to the basic fund for the payment of current medical services and 10,000 thousand lei – to the fund for development and modernization of public providers of medical services. As much as 12 million lei will be earmarked for actions to cover expenses concerning the organization and carrying out of activities of ensuring universal access to tuberculosis diagnosis and active discovery of pre-cancer states at the mammary gland.      

The pre-hospital emergency medical assistance will benefit from sums by five million lei to cover the expenses for the emergency medical assistance teams, established additionally in order to shorten the time of movement when appealing the ambulance in the rural region, first medical aid for carrying out prophylaxis measures by the family physician, as well as high-performance medical services to cover the expenditures for the carrying out of the programme for starting the treatment of the viral hepatitis B,C D and the hepatic cirrhosis in children.   

The revenues and expenses of the mandatory health insurances funds have been updated according to the preliminary forecast of macroeconomic indexes for 2019-2021.
