Moldovan-Romanian cooperation agreement in tourism sector to be published in Official Journal

Chisinau, 5 July /MOLDPRES/ - The government decision on the signing of the agreement between the governments of Moldova and Romania on cooperation in the tourism sector will be published in the Official Journal of Moldova (Monitorul Oficial) on 6 July.
The document provides for the extension of the cooperation relations in the tourism field, through the creation of friendly conditions for the attraction of investments, in order to back and develop tourism, in line with the national legislation of each state, exchange of good practices in the tourism infrastructure sector and professional training of staff from the tourism industries from both countries.
The agreement will contribute to the promotion of Moldova’s image on the international stage and will be an important element for the development of ties in the tourism field between Moldova and Romania.
Statistics data shows that about 30,000 citizens of Romania visited Moldova in 2016 and almost 36,000 – in 2017.
Moldova has signed cooperation agreements in the tourism sector with over 20 states.
