Moldovan PM describes improving quality of education as government's priority

Chisinau, 5 July /MOLDPRES/ - The governmental programmes for young people and their problems today were discussed by Prime Minister Pavel Filip and young people from the central Criuleni district, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The PM noted that the support of young people was a priority for the cabinet. He said that, besides the ambitious agenda of reforms in such sectors as economy, justice, social field, the authorities remained concerned about the improvement of the quality of services from which including young people benefit, as well as about the improvement of the education’s quality.
„The biggest wealth of Moldova is the human capital and the future belongs to young people. We must put emphasis on education, so that young people can carry out the activity in industries with high value added. The development of this country is in our hands,” the PM said.
In the context, Pavel Filip touched upon the enhancement of the opportunities of employment, noting that the states provides to investors by 40,000 lei for each job created, on condition that more than 100 jobs are created. At the same time, the authorities are set to provide fiscal facilities to entrepreneurs due to employ young people.
According to the prime minister, all reforms underway are aimed inclusively at ceasing the migration, with the First Home programme launched to this end, within which young people can buy a dwelling in advantageous conditions. Pavel Filip specified that the programme had been recently extended also for civil servants. He urged young people to choose a job in state institutions and thus benefit from a dwelling at half price.
For their part, the young people showed interest in the reformation of the education system, measures to remove corruption and envelope salaries. In discussions, the sides also tackled subjects on the quality of the medical system, providing dwellings to young specialists from the district hospital, as well compensating the spending for transport to patients from the Criuleni district. The PM said all these problems would be considered thoroughly by the competent authorities in order to find the best solutions.
