Chisinau, 06 July /MOLDPRES/ – The drivers which have suffered from poor quality repair works on highway Chisinau – Leuseni might receive compensation and the ones responsible for road rehabilitation will be sanctioned.

A decision on it was taken after the Minister of Economy and Infrastructure, Chiril Gaburici, summoned the officials from roads and asked for explanations for non – qualitative repair works, as a result of which more drivers have encountered windscreens and windows of cars cracked or even broken.

"I want to be compensated for all the expenses and damages incurred by the drivers of cars moving on that part of the road, and the guilty persons will be penalised," said Chiril Gaburici.

According to the MEI’s information and media communication service, the economic agent in charge for works acknowledged the guilt, arguing that the gravel used did not exactly correspond to necessary norms. Another argument put forward was the lack of indicators to inform drivers about repair works.

Chiril Gaburici asked officers of the State Road Administration (ASD) to apply penalties to the ones which did not fulfill their duties and did not guarantee the safety of road traffic.

The Minister also asked for reprimand to head of SA "Drumuri Ialoveni" (JSC Road Ialoveni) in charge for this road section, for negligence in service.
