Moldovan cabinet sets up commission due to assess situation in terms of collection, evacuation of waste from Balti

Chisinau, 6 July /MOLDPRES/ - The government has set up a commission, which will assess the situation in terms of collection and evacuation of waste from the northern Balti city and will identify solutions to problems found out, under an instruction by Prime Minister Pavel Filip, published in the Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial) of Moldova today.
According to the document, the decision was taken because of the worsening of the situation in the Balti municipality as regards the collection and evacuation of waste. The commission will consider the situation in this field and will identify the best ways of settling the problems found.
If necessary, the Commission will involve in its activity specialists in the sector from the central and local public administration authorities.
In last December, at a request by the Balti city’s authorities, the government got involved and provided support for the evacuation of waste from the Balti city.
