Chisinau, 06 July /MOLDPRES/ – Two topics were on agenda of the Joint Control Commission (CUC), which met yesterday in Bender city under the presidency of the Transnistrian delegation, the office for reintegration policy’s information and media communication service has reported.
At the request of Russia, CUC dismissed Major Dmitry Konev as military observer and appointed him in the operative service of the Military Command of Dubasari city.
Chief of the Joint Force of Peacekeeping, Colonel Vitalii Morozov, reported on situation in Security Zone (ZS), which was appreciated stable as a result of monitoring over recent week by Joint Military Command.
The second agenda issue – issue of ensuring the security and free movement around the Dniester bridge between Gura Bacului and Bacioc localities was examined during unordinary meeting of Commission, led by Ilia Uvarov, co-chair of JCC on behalf of Russia.
The parties exchanged views at separate meeting of the leaders of the JCC delegations from Moldova, Russia, Transnistrian region, representatives of Ukraine and OSCE Mission. During the meeting, there were presented compromise proposals of Russian delegation at JCC meeting on 28 June 2018, which proposed monitoring and ensuring free movement on the bridge over the Dniester river between Gura Bacului and Bacioc in peacekeeping format – only by servicemen of Joint Peace Force and joint police forces and the so – called militia.
Regretfully, the Tiraspol representative, in a defiant manner, already traditional, has categorically rejected this proposal without arguments and no comments. This is why discussions on this issue have blocked and will be resumed at the next Commission meeting scheduled for 12 July 2018.
