Moldovan leu appreciates against US dollar

Chisinau, 06 July /MOLDPRES/ – The Moldovan leu (MDL) will strengthen against US dollar ($) on Monday, 09 July. It will cost MDL 16,73 at beginning of upcoming week, 4 bani less than today. The National Bank of Moldova (BNM) has published the official exchange rates valid for Monday, 09 July 2018.

According to BNM's information and media communication service, the single European currency (€) will be worth MDL 19,59 on Monday, 09 July, preserving the level set today.

Neither the price of the Ukrainian hryvnia (UAH) will not bear any changes and will cost MDL 0,63. The Russian ruble (RUR) is quoted at MDL 0,26, and the Romanian leu (RON) – MDL 04,20, will be similar with exchange rate of today.

The official exchange rate is the price of MDL against the currencies of foreign states. It is calculated upon basis of exchange rates established by licenced banks within buying/selling transactions of currencies with their customers and other banks. Thus, the official exchange rate reflects the ratio of demand to foreign exchange supply in foreign exchange market of Moldova.
