Moldova, Estonia to cooperate in training diplomats

Chisinau, 6 July /MOLDPRES/ - The cooperation between the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE) and the Diplomatic School from Estonia in the training of national diplomatic civil servants was discussed by Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Tudor Ulianovschi and Director of the Estonian School of Diplomacy Ekke Nõmm, the MAEIE press service has reported.
During the dialogue, Minister Tudor Ulianovschi stressed that Moldova was interested in the establishment of partnerships in the field of professional training of diplomatic staff with the most prestigious institutions from Europe. “The Estonian School of Diplomacy, which has an experience of more than 25 years in the field of training civil servants and diplomats, is a good example for us in this respect, giving us possibility to take over the best practices in educating the national staff,” the Moldovan diplomacy head said.
Ekke Nõmm welcomed MAEIE’s interest, noting that the enhancement of the capacities of the diplomatic civil servants represents the foundation for a solid promotion of a state’s foreign policy. In the context, Ekke Nõmm said that the institution he represents had a rich experience in training diplomats, was open for cooperation with MAEIE and is willing to make available to the Moldovan side every expertise accumulated in this sector.
