Over 260 Moldovan drivers stopped for infringements committed in traffic

Chisinau, 10 July /MOLDPRES/ - Over 260 drivers on 9 July were stopped for infringements committed in the road traffic.

Contacted by MOLDPRES, the press officer of the National Patrol Inspectorate, Natalia Golovco, said that patrol officers from northern Moldova verified, through the E-DATA application, drivers who evade the civil responsibility.

„As many as 260 drivers passed through filter. They had infringements for exceeding the speed limit – 69 and failure to observe road signs - 6. In all, 280 penalty points were imposed and 16 summons were handed for coming to the Single Monitoring and Control Centre. Another 20 drivers were caught in traffic without the safety belt set or with vehicle’s technical defects,” Golovco said.

The action’s goal was to discover and sanction people who endanger the road traffic safety.
