Deputy premier participates in annual meeting of Moldovan diplomacy

Chisinau, 10 July /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister Cristina Lesnic has participated in the annual meeting of the Moldovan diplomacy, held at the headquarters of the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE) on 9 July. The event took place in the presence of the cabinet of ministers, led by Prime Minister Pavel Filip, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.
The discussions were focused on priorities of the foreign policy, current developments in Moldova and the need to improve communication on the external stage.
The participants in the discussions with Deputy Prime Minister Cristina Lesnic, jointly with representatives of the Reintegration Policies Bureau and those of Moldova’s delegation to the Joint Control Commission (JCC), tackled aspects on the Transnistrian settlement and regional security. The diplomats were informed about the latest developments in the process of talks, situation in the Security Zone, Moldova’s approaches on topical subjects on the agenda, recently marked achievements and the activities due to be started on the Transnistrian settlement segment in the near future.
The discussions were also focused on considering the progress made by Chisinau and Tiraspol in the process of implementing the agreements established in the so-called Berlin Plus package, as well as on exchanging opinions concerning measures needed to be undertaken subsequently for their definitive settlement, in line with the commitments taken and the parameters agreed upon.
In his speech, the deputy prime minister thanked the ambassadors for support and active cooperation. Lesnic asked for promoting the governmental priorities and Moldova’s interests on the dimension of the Transnistrian file.
The annual meeting of the Moldovan diplomacy is organized by MAEIE on 9-11 July. The event is aimed at considering issues on the work of the diplomatic missions and enhancing their efficiency, carrying out the foreign policy and establishing new tasks and priorities.
