Chisinau, 10 July /MOLDPRES/ - A strategy of supply with water and sewerage, approved by the government for 2014-2028, will be re-evaluated and a calendar plan will be worked out, so that, in the next 3-5 years, depending on the seriousness of the problem of each settlement, the localities be provided with water and sewerage. The deputy leader of the Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM), Vladimir Cebotari, made statements to this effect following a weekly meeting of PDM today.
According to Cebotari, the draft will be comprehensive, just as the one on modernizing the infrastructure – Good Roads for Moldova. “This will be a multi-annual programme, just as we want the programme Good Roads for Moldova to be, given that water, just as the roads, are problems which make the living of our citizens more difficult and prompt them to emigrate,” Cebotari noted.
He specified that the cabinet would make an analysis of the situation in terms of supply with water and state of the sewerage infrastructure from all settlements and would elaborate a national programme based on this survey.
”We want people from each Moldovan settlement be able to benefit from water and have civilized conditions for living. This is a very important problem for the citizens and it must be solved. This fact has been notified to us also in our trips to the territory. In Soldanesti, people now daily buy water and pay five lei for one pail,” Cebotari added.
In early 2018, PDM leader Vlad Plahotniuc said that a comprehensive programme on restoration of infrastructure, Good Roads for Moldova, would start in the country. As much as 1,200 km of roars are to be repaired within this programme.
