Chisinau Court suspends order of ANRE to raise prices for petrol, diesel in Moldova

Chisinau, 10 July /MOLDPRES/ – The order issued today by the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE), which provides for an increase by MDL 0,39 per litre of petrol and MDL 0,25 per litre of diesel, was challenged in court by the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure (MEI) and Agency for Consumer Protection and Market Surveillance (APCSP).
Thus, today conclusion, Chisinau Court of Appeal (Buiucani headquarters) suspended that order until an irrevocable court decision was issued in civil proceedings filed against the petition for legal action filed on 12 June 2018.
"The rejecting of applicants' request by failing to apply the required insurance measures by suspending the enforcement of the contested administrative act would undoubtedly contradict the socio-economic interests of society and its members, including final consumers", is mentioned in conclusion of Chisinau Court of Appeal (Buiucani headquarters ), according to a press release of MEI,
The execution of the conclusion of Chisinau Court of Appeal (Buiucani headquarters) is immediately enforced, but it can be appealed to the Chisinau Court of Appeal within 15 days of communication.
The ANRE announced today the ceiling price for fuel for upcoming fortnight, for petrol by MDL 0,39 higher than previous ones, and for diesel by MDL 0,25.
