Centre of Moldova's northern municipality to be renovated

Chisinau, 11 July /MOLDPRES/ – The authorities of Soroca municipality have started the development and modernisation works of locality central area, where there are located fountain and park Grigore Vieru. The renovation is due to be completed by 28 August, when it is celebrated the City Day.

"The whole system that ensures operation of fountain will be changed and it is to be arranged the adjacent area. We will use modern materials so that this fountain will be operational for many years, without repair," said to local mass media mayor of Soroca, Victor Sau.

The mayor has said that similarly, there will be installed lighting networks in park Grigore Vieru, including renovated fountain.

"We set out to do something nice and attractive, but also without much intervention in sector architecture," said Victor Sau.

Contacted by agency, sources from Soroca City Hall have informed that a contract worth MDL 222 thousand is currently being signed for the settlement project, but the works are ongoing and amount of the expenditures could be changed.
