Chisinau, 11 July /MOLDPRES/ - About 8,000 persons have found jobs in the first half of 2018. On the other hand, the number of unemployed is much higher, standing at about 17,000. The data was unveiled by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry.
People who are looking for jobs can opt for one of those 12,500 vacant jobs presented by the National Employment Agency (ANOFM). One forth of them is provided by economic agents from Chisinau. Another 1,200 jobs are vacant in Balti and 500 persons can be employed in Ungheni, Cahul and Cantemir each. Instead, the jobless people from Edinet, Drochia and Ialoveni have the smallest chances to be employed.
Eighty per cent of the vacant jobs are meant for persons with a level of secondary vocational education and unqualified workers. In this respect, the most demanded specialists on the labour market are the ones working in such sectors as textiles industry and ready-made clothes, transport, telecommunications and trade.
As for the unemployed persons with higher education and general vocational education, ANOFM presents 2,600 vacant jobs; most often, employers need specialists in the fields of health, education and trade.
People looking for a job may appeal to territorial employment agencies or may access the portal of the labour market, www.angajat.md, where vacant jobs provided by each district are posted.
