Moldovan premier chairs meeting of governmental commission for reintegration of country

Chisinau, 11 July /MOLDPRES/ – The current status of the Transnistrian settlement negotiation process was analised on 11 July at the meeting of the Government commission for reintegration of country, chaired by Prime Minister Pavel Filip, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
The Head of Executive mentioned the importance of Commission's activity in boosting the Chisinau – Tiraspol dialogue and promoting sectoral reintegration policies of Moldova. The PM reiterated that in order to ensure a positive dynamics and viable results, it is absolutely needed prompt and professional involvement of institutions in charge for reference areas.
In this context, there were presented developments within negotiation process, including platform "5+2" and sectoral working groups – after a long pause, it was re – launched the human rights group. Also, it was highlighted signing, in the first half of 2018, of three sectoral documents within veterinary, road and telecommunication fields. The authorities efforts remain focused upon implementation of these documents, but also on protocol decisions signed in November 2017.
Specifically, there were discussed issues related to implementation of Protocol on participation in international road traffic of vehicles from the Transnistrian region, which do not carry out commercial activities,. Related to it, it was mentioned that there were undertaken all necessary organisational, technical and legal measures to ensure launch of registration process for respective means of transport starting 01 September 2018.
Also, during the meeting, it was carried out a detailed retrospective on activities held at the meeting in Rome on 29 – 30 May 2018. Also, there were highlighted priorities included by Moldovan side in package "Berlin plus", as to be completed in 2018. These include: modernisation of bridge Gura Bacului – Bacioc, completion of certificate transfer process access to agricultural land by 01 August 2018, ensuring smooth functioning of eight regional Latin – script schools, and removing all barriers to free movement of inhabitants of both banks of the Dniester.
The PM appreciated the progress of negotiations, emphasising that efforts to accelerate the initiated processes need to be continued and mobilisation of experts in it will allow for a prompt solution of problems faced by population on both sides of the Dniester river and achievement of the reintegration target of government.
