Moldovan deputy premier says rapprochement with EU should continue, no matter present situation in Chisinau-Brussels relation

Chisinau, 12 July /MOLDPRES/ – Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Iurie Leanca, has specified at the meeting of ambassadors of Moldova that our country should focus more on deepening relations with the European institutions and the EU member states, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
In his greeting to ambassadors, Iurie Leanca reiterated that European integration is the main priority of Moldova. Also, deputy PM for European Integration listed the objectives set for 2018 as maintaining a multidimensional dialogue with EU, implementing the Association Agreement, adjusting national legislation with acquis communautaire, deepening cooperation with the Eastern Partnership states, etc.
"There is no other solution for Moldova than integration in EU. Together, we must make every effort to achieve it. Regardless of the moment situation in the Chisinau – Brussels relationship, together we have to focus on deepening relations with the European institutions, starting from the interests of the citizens of our country," said deputy PM Iurie Leanca.
Following discussions with Moldovan diplomats, there have been established short and medium term tasks and priorities to develop dialogue with EU on all segments of common interest.
