Moldova goes up by six positions in innovation ranking

Chisinau, 12 July /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova has gone up by six positions in an innovation ranking for 2018 and ranks 48th out of 126 states monitored.
The ranking shows that, this year, in terms of the sub-index “Information Technology and Communications (TIC) export services,” Moldova was on 17th position; the country ranked 22nd at the sub-index “TIC import services” and as for the sub-index “access to the TIC infrastructure”, Moldova was on the 37th position.
The analysis of the number of mobile applications created in a country brought Moldova the 9th position in a ranking of 15 innovative economies.
At the same time, Moldova registered progress in other indexes too; it ranked 20th as regards the starting of a business and 13th in terms of expenses for education.
According to data by the Economics and Infrastructure Ministry, the innovation ranking is made by the American Cornell University, INSEAD Business School for the World from France and the World Intellectual Property Organization.
