Employees number to increase each weekend at eight border points of Moldova

Chisinau, 13 July /MOLDPRES/ – At eight border crossing points, the number of employees will be filled on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The decision was taken in connection with the increase in the flow of persons and means of transport.

The eight points are Leuseni, Sculeni, Palanca, Tudora, Giurgiulesti – Galati, Criva, Otaci and Cahul. According to the Border Police’s communication and public relations department, from recent years experience, from Friday afternoon until Sunday night at these points there is high number of persons and means of transport.

In order to prevent occurring roadblocks, the Border Police (PF) will increase the number of employees and open all traffic lanes across border crossing points. Also, families with children, elderly and persons with disabilities will be subject to border control without line by redirecting them to the Diplomatic Corps.

At their part, those which plan to cross the state border need to check the validity and status of travel documents in time to avoid being forced to turn away from border.
