Moldovan foreign affairs minister receives Russian ambassador

Chisinau, 18 July /MOLDPRES/ - Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Tudor Ulianovschi today received Ambassador of Russia to Moldova Farit Mukhametshin, on the occasion of the end of his activity in Moldova, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service has reported.
The two officials exchanged opinions on the present stage of the Moldovan-Russian relations. Minister Ulianovschi noted that Moldova was willing friendship relations with Russia, based on trust and mutual respect.
In the context, the Moldovan diplomacy head stressed the importance to boost the dynamic of the political dialogue, as well as the need to identify ways of deepening the commercial and economic cooperation and extend the cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian sectors.
In the end of the discussion, Ambassador Farit Mukhametshin summed up the joint activities and the productive interaction between MAEIE and Russia’s Embassy in Moldova. The diplomat confirmed interest in the further development of the Moldovan-Russian political dialogue at the highest level, with the participation of the main political actors from both states.
