About 95,000 people to receive higher pensions in Moldova as of 1 October 2018

Chisinau, 28 September /MOLDPRES/ - About 95,000 people will receive higher pensions as of 1 October 2018, as a result of the enforcement of the last stage of the process of pensions’ recalculation.
Thus, the age limit pensions and the disability pensions set on the period 1 January 2014 – 31 March 2017 will be recalculated. The income of the person got following 1 January 1999 was taken into account at the initial establishment of these pensions.
According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry, the age limit pension will increase by an average of 308 lei. The growth will be of 415 lei in the case of disability pensions.
The process of recalculation is made from office, without the need for the beneficiary to go to the territorial social insurances body to submit an application to this end.
The Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry told the newspaper Moldova Democrata (Democratic Moldova) that 90 million lei was necessary in 2018 to carry out the last stage of recalculation starting from 1 October this year.
The process of pensions’ recalculation included four stages beginning with 1 April 2017.
