Moldova's budget revenues increase by ten per cent in first eight months of 2018

Chisinau, 28 September /MOLDPRES/ - The overall state budget revenues amounted to 23.3 billion lei in the first eight months of 2018, up by 10.3 per cent against the same period of 2017.
According to data by the Finance Ministry, on the concerned period, the spending grew by 9.2 per cent, standing at 23.6 billion lei. The fulfilling of the state budget resulted in a deficit of 324.4 million lei on the aforementioned period.
The biggest generator of revenues for the state budget was the Customs Service. The incomes managed by this institution amounted to 13.5 billion lei, - up by 5.2 per cent. The State Fiscal Service reported collection of taxes worth 10.6 billion lei, by 17.4 per cent more against the same period of 2017.
The collections from taxes and duties stood at 21.7 million lei of all the revenues, - up by 9.9 per cent against the same period of the year before. The collections from income taxes grew by 29 per cent.
The state budget for 2018 provides for incomes worth 36.9 billion lei and expenses amounting to 41.9 billion lei.
