Centre Regional Development Agency of Moldova participates in international forum for regional development

Chisinau, 28 September /MOLDPRES/ - A group of specialists of the Centru (Centre) Regional Development Agency (ADR Centru) this week participated in an international conference held in Alba Iulia, Romania. The forum’s agenda included subjects on the European bilateral cooperation and models of good practices in the regional development sector.
The event held in Alba Iulia was occasioned by ten years of institutionalized collaboration between the Centru Region (Romania) and the Brandenburg Land of Germany.
At a meeting on models of good practices concerning the use of European funds for regional development, the director of ADR Centru from Moldova, Viorel Jardan, made a presentation of regional development priorities in Moldova and the fields of intervention, in accordance with the 2016-2020 Regional Development Strategy.
In her speech on the general framework of the evolution of European partnerships of the Centru Region, the director of ADR Centru Romania, Ovidia Caba, said that the partnership with ADR and the Centru Region of Moldova was a special one, along with the institutionalized cooperation with the Brandenburg Land from Germany.
“The last years covered in the regional development process and the results achieved locally represent the best reason for bringing to the public attention the exchange of good practices regionally and at the European level. Thus, we want to think together what namely is characteristic for the European partnerships of the Centru region and how can they become more valuable for the entire community,” director general of the Romanian Regional Development Agency – Centru, Simion Cretu, said.
The participants in the conference discussed positive experiences gained during those ten years and identified new opportunities of cooperation and development with partners from Germany, Hungary and Moldova.
