Harvests Holiday held in south Moldova city

Chisinau, 30 September /MOLDPRES/ - Tens of agricultural producers and entrepreneurs from South Region brought together on the Horelor Square from the southern Cahul city, to participate in the Harvests Holiday. The event is organized by the Cahul city hall and district council on 29-30 September.   

The Harvests Holiday from Cahul is organized by the authorities, in order to promote achievements of enterprises from the region, marking, at the same time, the end of the agricultural year.

„In end of September, when managers have practically finished almost all harvesting works, a holiday is fit, to honour the working people, as well as to give them possibility to show and sell their goods, as well as to entertain at end of a hard work,’’ the head of the Cahul district, Ion Groza, said.  

The agenda of the event sees fairs, craftsmanship exhibitions, exhibitions of wine-makers, of traditional dishes, artistic programmes given by artists of the region and from all over Moldova.

The Harvests Holiday from Cahul will end with a round folk dance today evening.
