Five hundred persons purchase dwellings within programme First Home in Moldova

Chisinau, 01 October /MOLDPRES/ – Five hundred persons have bought their own dwellings under the government programme First Home.

Another 27 beneficiaries are awaiting signing loan agreements and 33 applications are to be reviewed by specialists.

Thus, out of 560 eligible applicants, about 400 are young families, and about 160 are unmarried young persons. The average age of those which applied for mortgage loans is 31 years.

According to the Organisation for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises, the total amount of loans granted is MDL 230.8 million. The surface of a purchased apartment is, on average, 59 m2, with a value of approximately MDL 544 thousand.

Programme First Home was launched on 26 March 2018.
