Money from sale of MAIB shares to come to state budget - Moldovan speaker says

Chisinau, 2 October /MOLDPRES/- Acquisition of 41% of Moldova Agroindbank shares by an international consortium of investors will only bring benefits to the banking system and economy in the country. Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu made the statement today.
“Money from the sale of shares will come to the state budget and we will have a first major recovery of bank assets," Candu said.
Recently, MAIB sold 41% of state shares through the Public Property Agency. Subsequently, the share package was bought by the International Consortium of Investors - EBRD, Invalda INVL, Horizon Capital.
Today it was signed the contract stipulating the purchase of 41.09 per cent of shares of Moldova Agroindbank. The share package was acquired with about 451 million lei.
