Chisinau, 02 October /MOLDPRES/ – Over 600 citizens have announced violations of public order throughout application Map of alerts, which was launched by law enforcement in late August.
Interviewed by agency, deputy head of the General Police Inspectorate (IGP), Gheorghe Cavcaliuc, said that the application is a quick and modern way to seizure the police. "At the same time, for the people of law, the map is a new way to receive citizens' complaints efficiently and react promptly to remove the alleged violations and irregularities," said Cavcaliuc.
The head of PGI service, Mariana Beţivu, told agency that most violations were reported in Chisinau (464), Balti (31), Leova (22) and Dubasari (21). "The warnings concern issues such as: violation of quiet and public order, unauthorised parking, alcohol consumption in public places, acts of hooliganism, vagabondage and acts of violence," said Mariana Betivu.
The alert map can be accessed without prior registration at amenintari.politia.md. The alert process consists of a few steps and can be done from the mobile phone, tablet, or computer. The person indicates where and when the incident occurred. Similarly, photo or video images can be added.
Also, there are no different complaints about committing a crime on this platform, as the application is anonymous and informative.
The map does not examine personal cases but the ones based on phenomena that threaten a larger group of people. After a complaint against a certain area, the perimeter is monitored for a period of time by a patrol crew or sector policeman.
The application will be tested by the end of 2018, and citizens can come up with proposals to improve the service.
