10 pediatricians from Moldova to get training in project supported by British organization

Chisinau, 3 October /MOLDPRES/- A number of 10 specialists in pediatric rehabilitation in Moldova will participate in trainings supported by specialists from different countries of the world. The actions are set out in a project to improve the quality of life of children with special needs, funded by the Tony Hawks Center.
According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, the project aims to improve the quality of life of children with special needs by increasing access to community occupational therapy services.
Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Silvia Radu discussed with the leadership of the organization Tony Hawks Center and demanded that jointly with the ministry's representatives to set up an action plan and its implementation stages, and finally to sign a memorandum of cooperation.
Tony Hawks Center is a non-profit, non-governmental organization supported by renowned British writer Tony Hawks and the British philanthropic organization ChildAid, working in rehabilitation of chronically ill children through non-invasive and inexpensive methods, such as: kinesitherapy, hydro-kinetotherapy, orthosis, massage, ergotherapy, music therapy, ergotherapy, logopedia, sensory integration.
According to statistics, 15.3 thousand children with disabilities are currently registered in Moldova.
