Over 700 medical employees, teachers benefit from free of charge urban-transport passes for trolley bus in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 3 October /MOLDPRES/ - Over 700 medical employees and teachers from Chisinau benefit from free of charge urban-transport passes for trolley bus.

Contacted by MOLDPRES, the head of the analysis and forecast service at the Electric Transport Administration (RTEC), Lidia Golomoz, has said that, to provide beneficiaries with travel cards for trolley busses, the enterprise signed a contract with the Moldovan capital’s Social Assistance and Health Department on the sale of travel cards at a price of 180 lei, against 320 lei – the current selling price of one travel card to economic agents.

„The people benefiting from urban-transport passes are family physicians, medical assistants and teachers. They take the travel cards for free at the Social Assistance and Health Department, which buys them from RTEC,” Lidia Golomoz said.

The Chisinau municipal council approved the decision to provide trolley bus travel cards free of charge in last June. The project has been implemented starting from July 2018 and is worth about 135,000 lei.
