Victims of political repressions from Moldova to receive monthly allocation five-fold bigger than present one

Chisinau, 3 October /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet, at a today’s meeting, ruled to increase by 400 lei the quantum of the monthly state allocation to the rehabilitated victims of the political repressions from the period 1917-1990. Thus, the victims of the political repressions will receive an allocation worth 500 lei, against 100 lei at present.
The decision sees ensuring additional protection for the rehabilitated victims of the political repressions. As many as 8,452 people will benefit from increased allocations. On 1 June 2018, 7,635 persons were receiving monthly state allocations, except for the beneficiaries of state monthly allocation of the law-enforcement institutions.
The additional spending for the increased state allocations for four months of this year is estimated at 12.9 million lei. The money will be earmarked from and within the limit of the sum of transfers from the state budget to the state social insurances budget, provided for in 2018.
